This band creates a small pouch like compartment of the stomach on the top and left the reaming larger portion of the stomach at the bottom. The upper chamber is all there is to store and accommodate food. This smaller portion ensures the individual consumes a much lesser amount of the food for the entire duration, as long as the band remains in place.
